To align with the School of Engineering and Mathematical Sciences (SEMS) strategic plan and meet growing student demand in the Master of Engineering (Manufacturing) program it was proposed to convert and refurbish existing office spaces and a laboratory on Level 1 of the Physical Sciences 2 building to create the SEMS LAM Hub.
The SEMS LAM Hub will enable students, from first year students through to masters and PHD, as well as research staff to design, fabricate and test new materials and structures.
The laboratory design will showcase the work of the school; with visibility into the SEMS LAM Hub from outside and from the corridor within PS2.
